ANDREW ATROSHENKO

The sensual painter..

ANDREW ATROSHENKO Born in 1965 in the City of Pokrovsk, Russia, Andrew became part of a gifted child program at the Children’s Art School there, and was later accepted at the St. Petersburg Academy of Art, one of the world’s most prestigious art schools.
In 1999 Andrew spent the entire year in the U.S. He was invited by“Bay Arts,” a New England based group, to take part in their exhibitions and activities. According to Andrew,
“The year in America gave me more as an artist then all eight years of my formal studies.”
After seeing Royo and Pino at Art Expo 2000 in New York, he chose the direction his art would take.

THE THOUGHTS ARE GOING HOME

MY HOME-CHURCH

Johanneberg-church

Its not very common that I feel a little hint of homesickness. I have been out of sweden for years now and the last two years I just have been visiting my home country every 6 month and just stayed for maximum 2 weeks. But this day - saturday - it hit me like a ball. When I was a teenager I always worked extra in the swedish church - my fathers church (where he worked as a priest/pastor in 17 years)in gothenburg. It was cozy. Nice older ladys that looked after me, the liturgy, the organmusic, the choir, the spirituell room, the church-coffee etc. It carved something in my heart that I always will bring with me. Still I feel very home when I enter a church.

To this chuch I have been
going to from the age of 7 years old.
The tower is over 60 meters..

VISIT VALPARAISO

*THE PERFECT CITY FOR THE ONE WHO IS IN TO ART AND CULTURE*

In february this year I had holiday in chile. I also wrote about that earlier in my blog about the fashion show in Vina del Mar, this time I will write about the fantastisc city that is located 20 minutes outside Vina del mar - Valparaiso. There is a coming together of past and present. Valparaiso, with over one and a half million inhabitants, is the "port of Santiago" and the most important Chilean port - the city even has a finance-district. For me Valparaiso was the place where I saw incredibile house-paintings, urban gallerys, nice couisine, inspiring people that was writers, artists and createurs. I strongly recommend this city where I had the best time in chile.

INSPIRING CHARLOTTA

Charlotta Flinkenberg

Charlotta Flinkenberg started her own newspaper when she was 23. When she was 24 it went bankrupt, she was indebted to the hilt, and was portrayed in the journalist magazine Resumé as a joke queen. Now, ten years later, she is successful editor of CHIC and has sold a record editions as the editor of the newspaper Frida. In her book:
*Supereasy, how I become successful* (Busenkelt - så blev jag framgångsrik) she is talking about the traps, the setbacks and the driving forces behind the success she has today.

When I was 18-19 I red her book over and over again. She is so street smart and she has som much humor so you just cant stop reading the book. I dont know if the book is translated in english thou.

My favourite coaching book. You can click on the link and buy it now.
She has also a nice blogg that I follow: http://charlotta.chic.se

“Premio Alba 2007”, Diploma di Merito Ferrara, Italy.

Professor, Academician International “Greci-Marino” Academy, 2006.

Lena's education and exposure to centuries of global culture has resulted in her own, unique and very intriguing art style that is magnetic and powerful. Her compositions seem to be in perpetual motion; a sensual and spirited interaction of figures swathed in music and dance. The result is at once appealing and spiritual. Her relocation from Russia to the USA two decades ago brought a fresh new pallete to her canvas. Color was virtually everywhere in America and it exploded around young Lena's classical training fueling a complex evolution that embraced a morphing of subject matter and tonality.

M.I.L.K -PHOTOS

M.I.L.K. is an epic photographic celebration of what it is to be part of a family, share the gift of friendship and more than anything else, to be loved. M.I.L.K. began as a worldwide search to develop a collection of extraordinary and geographically diverse images portraying humanity’s "Moments of Intimacy, Laughter and Kinship" (M.I.L.K.). This search took the form of a global photographic competition in 1999. It was not only the richest in photographic history, but also one of the most significant, drawing participation from 17,000 professional and amateur photographers in 164 countries. In total, over 40,000 images were received by M.I.L.K., including entries from at least four Pulitzer Prize winners.
